What is Get Up And Go Gals?

What if you had a home away from home that could pave the way to a world of travel you never thought possible. Imagine visiting a new place and being welcomed into the home of a like-minded woman who is eager to share her knowledge of the local sights and terrain. She can point you to the best art galleries, quilting and craft store, natural wonders, restaurants, and much more.  All of this for a $50.00 yearly membership fee.  Your fee for staying at the members home is $15.00 for a single and $20.00 for a couple. Do I have to be a Get Up and Go Gals to go on a Go Gals Travel tour?

No! You do not need to be a member of Get Up and Go Gals to go on the tours. Most tours are open to all. Some tours are open to only women.

What is a tour?

A tour is a trip taken  by a group of people who travel together and follow a pre-planned itinerary. Most tours include accommodations, a number of meals, sightseeing, land transportation and/or other transportation, plus the services of a professional tour escort who accompanies the group.

What are the benefits of a tour package?

Besides lower price, the traveler enjoys peace of mind and convenience. Prepayment covers all major expenses, so that money concerns are minimized. On our tours, there is the added camaraderie of other travelers.   Our advanced planning allows realistic information to be passed along to the clients.

What should I wear and bring for my trip?

Each trip will be different and we will let you know what the weather will be like and will give some suggestions as what to wear.

What is the departure time and place?

We will have one or two  locations where we will pick up members of the tour.  You will have this information at time of booking tour.  The time set to leave will be on your tour package and we will leave on time.  IF YOU SHOW UP LATER, WE WILL LEAVE AND YOU WILL BE A NO SHOW. Please do not be late.

Can children go on the tour?  What is the age limit?

We ask that if you want children to go that you pick a different tour  company.  We work with mostly the over 40 group and so the age limit is 18 years of age.     

I am physically challenged, can I take your tours?

This will depend on your challenge and the tour you request.  NOTE: We will do our best to make it possible for you to enjoy the tours of your choice.

 What is your cancellation policy?  Cancellation policy is as follows:  up to 45 days before the tour 100% refund after 45 days and up to 48 hours before time of the tour 50% refund.  NO REFUND FOR NO SHOWS. 

We do have a wait list. If you are on the list you could be called 45 days or up to 48 hours before the tour leaves. When we put you on the wait list we will ask you if you can be on short notice. We try to fill all tours, the more the merrier.
